TALENSI DISTRICT ASSEMBLY HOLDS SECOND ORDINARY MEETING OF THE THIRD SESSION
The Talensi District Assembly today, Tuesday, August 25, 2026, held its Second Ordinary Meeting of the Third Session of the Fourth Assembly at the District Assembly Conference Hall, Tongo.
The meeting brought together Assembly Members and relevant stakeholders to deliberate on key matters concerning the development and administration of the District.
Key items on the agenda included the District Chief Executive’s Sessional Address. The DCE, Hon. John Millim Nabwomya, in his address, updated the House on key developments across the District and outlined ongoing efforts to improve service delivery and infrastructure. His address covered critical areas including health, education, roads, mining and environmental management, youth development and local economic growth, with a renewed call for collective effort and stakeholder support towards the sustainable development of Talensi.
The Assembly also considered the Revised 2026 Annual Action Plan, the Revised 2026 Composite Budget, recommendations from the Public Relations and Complaints Committee (PRCC), and the nomination of two Assembly Representatives to the Social Responsibility Forum.
Other important agenda items included a presentation on Bye-laws for BONATA CREMA, Any Other Matters, and closing proceedings.
The meeting provided an important platform for Assembly Members to engage, deliberate and take decisions aimed at advancing the development of the Talensi District.
