TALENSI ACCOUNTABILITY SERIES | HEALTH PROJECTS AND INTERVENTIONS (2025–2026)
Improving access to quality healthcare remains a key priority of the Talensi District Assembly.
Through investments in health infrastructure and support for healthcare delivery, the Assembly has undertaken several projects and interventions aimed at bringing essential healthcare services closer to the people.
Key achievements include:
* Completion of the Tindongo CHPS Compound.
* Completion of the Kulpeliga CHPS Compound.
* Construction and furnishing of a 20-bed Children’s Ward at Tongo Hospital.
* Renovation of the Wakii CHPS Compound.
* Renovation of the Doctor’s Bungalow at Tongo Hospital to accommodate a newly posted doctor.
Ongoing Projects:
* Construction of the Nungu CHPS Compound.
* Construction of the Shia CHPS Compound and nurses’ accommodation.
* Construction of the Dapoore CHPS Compound.
* Construction of the Sawaliga CHPS Compound.
The Assembly has also supported the inauguration of the District Health Committee and the annual HIV/AIDS Day celebration and sensitisation activities.
These investments demonstrate the Assembly’s commitment to strengthening healthcare infrastructure, improving access to essential health services and creating better conditions for healthcare delivery across the District.
