TALENSI DISTRICT RECEIVES REPAIRED AMBULANCE BACK INTO SERVICE
The Talensi District Assembly is pleased to announce the return of the District Ambulance to active service following the successful replacement of its engine.
The District Chief Executive (DCE), together with the District Coordinating Director (DCD), officially received the ambulance upon its return to the district. The Hon. DCE could not hide his excitement and satisfaction as the vehicle was handed over, having personally led efforts to secure funding from sources outside the Assembly’s coffers to facilitate the repairs.
Speaking during the reception, the Hon. DCE expressed gratitude to all individuals and stakeholders who contributed to making the repairs possible. He noted that the return of the ambulance is a significant boost to emergency healthcare delivery in the district and assured residents that Talensi now has a fully functional ambulance to respond to emergencies.
The DCE further reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening emergency health services in the district. He disclosed that the ongoing renovation of the District Ambulance Quarters would be completed within the shortest possible time and announced plans to provide a new borehole facility to support operations at the station.
Additionally, he revealed that discussions are underway to establish another ambulance station at a strategic location within the district to improve emergency response coverage and accessibility for residents.
